Minutes of the meeting of 12/16/16
Meeting Opened at: 1pm
Select Board Members Present: Kenn Basler, Chairperson, Steve Weisz and Carol Edelman
Also in attendance: Willie Morales, Carolyn Thomas-Davis, Theresa Sponhnholz, Donald Clawson, Ray Tryon
The Board interviewed Theresa Sponhnholz for the position of Treasurer. Theresa is currently the part time Treasurer for the Town of Sandisfield (10 hours). She would be available on Thursdays and Fridays and possibly Mondays for Monterey if hired. The Board agreed that Theresa would be a good fit and would like to offer her the position on a 3 month probationary basis.
The Board interviewed Carolyn Thomas-Davis for the position of Accountant. Carolyn would be available to start right away.
Discussion ensued about both candidates as well as about the other 2 candidates that interviewed on the phone with Willie and Don yesterday. A motion was made to offer the position of Accountant and Treasurer for a trial period of 3 months to both candidates. The Board will continue to receive resumes during this time and at the end of 3 months will evaluate the candidates again and either offer them the position permanently or go in another direction.
A motion was made and unanimously approved to adjourn the meeting at: 3:10pm
